The 2010 Acura MDX is the larger of the two Acura SUVs. So many of the manufacturers are doing that now. BMW X3 and X5, Volvo XC90 and XC60 and so on. The MDX is one o the nicest vehicles of the new SUVs. It has plenty of power, drives and handles very well and is very comfortable on long trips or short trips to the grocery. It has plenty of cargo area for a long trip and more cargo area than most of us can afford to fill with groceries, especially since November of 2008. We have a 100 pound female Akita that loves to go and the back of an MDX would be perfect for Mika. The MDX comes with a 3.7 liter aluminum alloy V-6 engine. It is a 24 valve SOHC VTEC engine that puts out 300 horsepower at 6300 RPM and 270 lb-ft of torque at 4500 RPM. It features a drive by wire throttle system and qualifies as a ULEV2 vehicle. It only needs to be tuned up every 100,000 miles. It requires premium 91 octane gas and has a 21 gallon gas tank. EPA mileage rating is 16/21. The MDX has 4 wheel independent MacPherson struts in the front and multi-link rear suspension which makes for a nice smooth ride. The MDX has torque sensing variable power assisted rack and pinion steering along with either 18 or 19 inch tires and wheels which combine to make a very precise handling SUV. Four wheel ABS disc brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist make for smooth and sure stops. The 2010 Acura MDX comes with a power moonroof with tilt feature, auto open/close and key off operation, heated outside mirrors with reverse tilt down, auto on/off xenon high intensity discharge headlights, front fog lights and mirror integrated LED directional signals, taillights, brake lights and central High Mounted stoplight. The 2010 MDX comes with tri-zone front/rear synchronized automatic climate control system with humidity control and air filtration. Also standard is remote keyless entry and a memory system for the driver’s seat, Bluetooth Hands-Free link wireless telephone interface, steering wheel mounted controls for cruise control, audio and phone. There is also hill start assist, trailer stability assist, daytime running lights and automatic dimming rear view mirror. Safety wise there is the ACE body structure, Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control, all the latest airbag technology, daytime running lights, and side impact door beams.
